Projects and Working Groups
Legislative Initiatives
The LAA takes legislative initiatives for the purpose of drafting the legislative acts of the industry and their amendments, dissemination of opinions and maintenance of guidelines, collaboration with other state and non-governmental institutions of the sector in Latvia and abroad.
In 2010 and 2011 the work continued on the drafting of the following documents:
· Construction Law,
· Law on Spatial Development Planning,
· Public Procurement Law,
Law on Architects’ Practice – in collaboration with the working group of the project on administrative capacity building of the LAA.

LAA Show of the year 2010 in Ventspils
The exposition of the best works in Ventspils recreation centre "Jūras vārti" until the 2'nd of March. Opening on the 7'th of Februarī at 17:00.

The library is opened on tuesdays and thursdays from 14-18:00 in the House of Architects, in Torņa street 11.

The development of the architects’ data base
There are now created the preconditions for the LAS web page’s section ARCHITECTS IN LATVIA filling with the information provided there.That section is intended as a database of information about individual architects and architectural firms practicing in Latvian, as well as architects, whose scope is not a practical design, but work scientific, educational or administrative job.
