From August 26 until November 25, 2024, the second round of the International open architecture sketch design competition with invited participants "Tērbatas dārzs" city quarter development is open. After the first competition round, six invited competition participants were announced, however anyone interested is welcome to participate in the second round.
Competition purpose is, using a creative and free competition between the competition participants to obtain an architecturally valuable and economically justified solution for the facades of residential buildings in the city block "Tērbatas dārzs", corresponding to the principles and traditions of the construction of the historic center of Riga and the requirements of the competition brief, as well as to choose a cooperation partner for the project development of the minimal composition.
The total competition prize fund is up to 96 000 euros.
The deadline for submitting the sketch design offers is November 25, 2024, at 4 p.m. at the Latvian Association of Architects, Torņa iela 11, Riga.
