About

The Latvian Architecture Award (LAGB) is a prestigious award that not only accentuates outstanding achievements in Latvian architecture and cares about the development of the industry, but also promotes public awareness of architecture. The Prize has been awarded since 1995 and is recognized as a nationally significant event, while the award itself is the highest recognition in Latvian architecture.

The works presented at the Latvian Architecture Award reflect on current Latvian architectural environment, major trends and processes. Our architecture shows that we respect our heritage and not only we protect it, but we also know how to restore its every little detail. We are not only familiar with traditional materials but are increasingly choosing to include smart innovations. Each work submitted to the competition is considered equally important because the most decisive criterion that makes it big is good architecture.

LAGB is an invitation to everyone to continue to think about good architecture, to participate, to appreciate it and also to celebrate it.

The Latvian Architecture Award is organized by the Latvian Association of Architects with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.
