The Latvian Architecture Award, supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia, is an annual national architectural prize, which is simultaneously a professional recognition to the authors of the objects and an open public dialogue about the role of architecture in the space of our lives.
The Latvian Architecture Award organized by the Latvian Association of Architects is not just a yearbook of architectural success stories. It is an extensive, versatile and democratic dialog with the public about themes of environmental improvement and each individual's ability to influence this process. Architecture is all around us and it is impossible to avoid it, which means that each individual’s right to live in a good quality environment is also his/her responsibility to participate in it.
