The popular landscape architecture platform Landezine is organizing the LILA Award for the 10th time, highlighting built landscape and architectural projects. Early registration by February 27 offers a lower participation fee, while project submissions are accepted until May 8. Students and young professionals are encouraged to apply for the parallel LILA Portfolio Award competition.
Projects can be submitted in three categories:
• Built Landscapes – Any landscape project completed after January 1, 2020, regardless of function or context. This includes small and large-scale projects, public and private spaces, urban and rural landscapes, parks, squares, streets, infrastructure, residential areas, private gardens, campuses, commercial areas, schools, playgrounds, cemeteries, memorials, and more.
• Landscape & Architecture – This category focuses on the relationship between landscape and architecture, independent of typology, use, or size. Projects must be completed after January 1, 2020.
• Revisited Landscapes – Landscape projects that are at least 15 years old, of any typology, submitted with both old and new photographs to illustrate their evolution over time. The final phase of the project must have been completed between 1990 and January 1, 2010.
An international jury consisting of four experts in landscape architecture and architecture will evaluate the submissions. In addition to category awards, Landezine editors will present the LILA Honour Award and LILA Office Award.
