Registration open for the European Award AHI

30.01.2025

The Architectural Heritage Intervention platform and the Architects’ Association of Catalonia have announced the seventh edition of the European Award AHI, with registrations open from December 18, 2024, to March 14, 2025.

This biennial award, established in 2013, recognizes outstanding interventions in European architectural heritage across four categories: Built Heritage, Exterior Spaces, Urban Planning, and Disclosure. Eligible projects must have been completed between January 1, 2018, and December 31, 2024, within the European geographical area.

An international jury of distinguished experts—set to be announced in January—will shortlist up to 15 projects in the Built Heritage category, 10 in Exterior Spaces, and six each in Urban Planning and Disclosure. The selected projects will be made public in May 2025, with winners and finalists chosen from this selection.

The award ceremony will take place in June 2025 at the Ceremonial Hall of the Barcelona Industrial School, an emblematic Catalan modernist building. In addition to the category winners, two special mentions will be awarded:

The Restoration Special Mention, recognizing excellence in technical and methodological precision.
The New European Bauhaus Special Mention, highlighting projects that prioritize sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion.

For more details and to register, visit the official website before March 14, 2025 (GMT+1).
