Four buildings in Cēsis’ Old Town invite you to take a glimpse into the future of the past! The Mājas Cēsīs initiative aims to restore the city’s once-lost buildings right in the heart of Rožu Square. Konrād’s, Friends, Pastor’s and Carriage House form a unified ensemble where each building has its own distinct story: intricately restored wooden structures, Konrāda House, devastated in the 1990s. And the Friends’ House—21st-century architecture that senses the city’s irregularities, imperfections, and ancient sandstone imprints, yet transforms them into a contemporary architectural language.
