The reconstruction of this residential house in the historic centre of Pāvilosta demonstrates that even a substantially rebuilt or newly constructed building can preserve the spirit of its place and the memory of the former structure. The project is rooted in the desire to continue the story of a coastal home once inhabited by a fisherman’s family, adapting it to contemporary standards of living. The scale and urban structure characteristic of Pāvilosta have been preserved. Together, the residential house and former utility building form a unified holiday property.
