The appearance of the shopping centre “Aleja” is realised in a way that is appealing not only to clients, but also other passers-by, making the building quite recognisable. The curved facade on Vienības gatve Street has a strong visual effect created by the rhythm of the vertical lamellas in combination with the slim closing of the building - the large, overhanging roof. The expressive shape is complemented and highlighted by a bright red finishing tone. The pattern of the decorative lighting placed at the ends of the lamellas makes for a good state of mind after dark. The lamellas are made with modern materials - the framework is comprised of Latvian-made glass fibre composite material, meaning that they don’t take in the cold.
