Spatiality of the Border – Rehabilitation of the Latvian Eastern Frontier

"Spatiality of the Border: Rehabilitation of the Latvian Eastern Frontier” is a process that offers a new perspective on Latvia’s periphery — the over 450-kilometer-long in-between space along the eastern border. This study illuminates centuries-old cultural landscapes and architectural traditions, revealing the borderland as a human-oriented space. Within the process, the initiative was presented at the LU 83rd International Scientific Conference, and will transform into a new international architectural publication. In August 2025, the first spatial intervention will be realized in Dagda.
