Torņakalns Station is envisioned as a place where collective memory, infrastructure development, and a high-quality public realm converge. Its identity is shaped by the memory of the 1941 and 1949 deportations, as well as the need to respond to contemporary mobility demands. The project explores the relationship between historical memory and the transformations introduced by Rail Baltica, proposing the station as a unified public space where movement and remembrance complement one another. Memory becomes part of the everyday station experience, preserving the site's historical significance whi
