This building combines Nordic closedness with Scandinavian merging of space in search of a contemporary Latvian spatial code. From the street it is restrained, but it opens up to the backyard and nature. It is placed in a dense housing on irregular plot, defining the unique W shape. The 3 volumes allow to combine different functions-work, leisure, sport and socializing. At its centre is a triangular terrace around which everything else is set. The charcoal finish outside and light wood inside show the desire to combine the formal and the homely. Wooden nail fastened facdes are fully recyclable.
