The Arsenāls Tunnel outdoor installation is located on a preserved stretch of railway track and spatially closes off the composition of the Keipene railway station/Sergei Eisenstein Communication Centre complex. The tunnel can be transformed, temporarily covering it or adding a removable floor, so adapting it to the scenarios for different events. The Arsenāls Tunnel symbolically represents the flow of time fixed in 24 film frames and is a metaphor for a tunnel connecting parallel realities. The designers believe that moving through the tunnel is similar to the reality described in the texts of Eastern philosophers as being free of any permanent presence and which consists of ever-changing experience whose totality creates the illusion of “I”.
