Reconstruction

Restoration Center of Zemgale Jelgava has a quarter where a unique historical building has been preserved. The buildings in the district were formed between the 18th and 19th centuries and are the oldest part of Jelgava city with wooden buildings that were not destroyed during World War II. The aim of the project is to create a Zemgale restoration center in the oldest wooden building in Jelgava (18th century) at Vecpilsētas Street 14. The implementation of the project created an opportunity to return the important wooden building of Jelgava to the overall image of the city and to promote the revival of the historic quarter
