Atklātā arhitektūras un pilsētbūvniecības konkursa projekta novietnes un izpētes teritorija atrodas Rīgā, Zaķusalā (SIA "Zaķusalas estates"). Salas koordinātes Zemes gabalu atrašanai google maps vai google earth ir šādas 56°55'53.0"Z 24°07'20.0".
Zaķusala ir viena no salām Daugavā, starp Daugavu un Mazo Daugavu posmā no Vecrīgas līdz Katlakalnam. Zaķusala, līdzīgi citām Rīgas salām, izveidojusies saplūstot vairākām mazām salām. Zaķusalas teritorijas konkursa un izpētes teritorijas novietne ir izstiepta ZR-DA virzienā un atrodas uz dienvidiem no Salu tilta. Zaķusalas konkursa izpētes teritorijā atrodas brīvstāvošs Rīgas radio un televīzijas tornis.
Atklātā konkursa mērķis ir iegūt iespējami labāko un ekonomiski pamatotāko teritorijas telpiskā plānojuma attīstības koncepcijas priekšlikumu, ar efektīvāko un funkcionālāko arhitektonisko un pilsētbūvniecisko vērtību. Konkursa Pasūtītājs vēlas radīt Zaķusalas teritorijas telpiskā plānojuma attīstības vīzijas koncepciju pilnīgi jauna dzīvojamā rajona izveidei uz Rīgas zaļās salas Daugavas malā.
Konkursa priekšmets ir vīzija, kas atspoguļo Zaķusalas teritorijas Rīgā telpiskās attīstības koncepciju. Konkursa priekšlikuma vīzijai ir jāietver Zaķusalas teritorijas kopējā ģenplāna koncepcijas izstrādi un arhitektoniskos risinājumus.
Reģistrācija Konkursam sākas 2016. gada 22.janvārī.
Konkursa norise līdz 2016. gada 25.aprīlim.
Konkursa rezultāti tiks paziņoti līdz 2016. gada 16. maijam.
Konkursa naudas balvu fonds ir 20 000 EUR.

AN OPEN COMPETITION OF ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN PLANNING WITH INVITED PARTICIPANTS
"ELABORATION OF THE BEST CONCEPTUAL VISION FOR THE SPATIAL PLANNING DEVELOPMENT OF THE TERRITORY IN ZAĶUSALA"
The site and the study area of the open competition of architecture and urban planning is located in Riga, in Zaķusala (the firm SIA "Zaķusalas Estates"). The coordinates of the location to be found on Google Maps or Google Earth are as follows: 56°55'53.0"N 24°07'20.0".
Zaķusala is one of the islands in the River Daugava, between the Daugava and the Mazā (Little) Daugava in the stretch between Old Riga and Katlakalns. Zaķusala, like other islands of Riga, developed as several small islands merged. The competition site and study area in Zaķusala is stretching in the NW-SE direction and is located to the south of Salu Bridge. In the study area there is a free-standing radio and TV tower of Riga.
The aim of the open competition is to obtain the best possible and economically justified conceptual vision for spatial planning development, which would offer the most efficient functional, architectural and urban planning solutions. The Client wants to obtain a conceptual vision for the spatial planning development of the territory of Zaķusala in order to build a completely new residential area on Riga’s green island at the riverside of the Daugava.
The subject of the competition is a vision which reflects a concept for spatial development of the territory of Zaķusala in Riga. The vision should include an overall master plan concept for the territory of Zaķusala and architectural solutions.
Registration for the competition begins on 22 January 2016.
The competition will run until 25 April 2016.
The competition results will be announced by 16 May 2016.
The prize money of the competition is EUR 20,000.
The competition is organised by the firm SIA "Zaķusalas estates"
The open competition with invited participants can be freely entered by all natural and legal persons who have appropriate experience in elaboration of conceptual architectural and urban planning solutions.
