Renovation of the Vecpiebalga Church took place during the first awakening years, and the prayer room is a reflection of the time — the historical is not replicated, but also not denied. Back then, we didn’t finish everything — the church is missing a tower, but Vecpiebalga — a vertical element! What should a tower built today look like? It can’t and shouldn’t mechanically repeat the previous. Place of the tower is defined by flows of energy, proportions follow the golden section, and locally produced Lode bricks, metal and timber constructions should be used. This project is a quest.
