In 2011, RDS Arhitekti participated in a design competition organized by Access Bank for best facade design for its building in Baku. RDSA was awarded the first place and commissioned to design and prepare tender documents. The client’s primary requirements called for an energy–efficient solution that would improve the structure's (e.g. walls, roof, windows and glazing) thermal coefficients to reduce energy losses. The solution offered a contemporary design that would provide the building with a new identity.
