Alūksne Bānītis (Narrow–Gauge Train) Station

Nowadays the former storehouse or baggage shed of the Alūksne railway station houses a modern multimedia exhibition providing the information about the national historical monument – the narrow-gauge railway line from Alūksne to Gulbene. The visitors gain comprehensive spatial and visual experience through sight, hearing and smell. Design of the exhibition creates associations with being in a carriage of a running train. The wooden baggage boxes are interpreted as media.
