Cesis municipal library
The Cesis municipal library building was built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries to the design of an unknown architect. The building’s form utilises references to the characteristic architecture of the Netherlands, supplemented with tulip-motif tiles on the entrance terrace. The designers have attempted to preserve the building’s authentic historical testimony while choosing contemporary expression for the new elements.
