Exhibition 'Backbone' In the scope of Riga Fashion Week 2016, Evija Šaitere presented a solo exhibition for her fashion collection „Backbone”. The main inspiration source for “Backbone is Belgian artist's Berlinde de Bruyckere wax sculpture featuring double spine. The idea and layout of the exposition was created by architect Jolanta Šaitere who translated the concept of the collection into complementary architectural form. This issue of oversaturation is interpreted architecturally in the distorted metal frames that were produced specially for each piece of clothing; they show human space, skewed and spatially deceptive.
