The images captured by photographer Mārtiņš Sīlis and composed by Tatjana Raičiņeca resemble a design walk through “Lielais dzintars” Concert Hall. Concise forms and purity of image prevail in the calendar. The black-and-white art photos in the 2016 calendar allow us to see the rhythm between the textures at “Lielais dzintars” and melodies created by the reflections. Page by page and month by month, Mārtiņš Sīlis’ researcher nature is revealed – his interest in architecture photography and the principles of photography, as well as inspiration gained from the graphics of the impossible structures by Maurits Cornelis Escher and from music by Johann Sebastian Bach.
