MadCity Riga 2018 2-day international urban planning event with over 300 participants. Amongst speakers was the Danish architect and city planner Jan Gel, urban planner and book author Alexander Stahle, futurologist and urbanist Greg Lindsay, investment banker and former Ukrainian Minister of Economy Aivaras Abromavicius, and 20 other speakers from 12 countries. Day 2 was an idea competition for teams to improve VEF and the surrounding area with a € 10,000 prize pool.
