Philosophers’ lodge
The interior of the Ķīpsala fishermen’s hut featuring a 200-year-old chimney and hearth, original renovated by architect Zaiga Gaile, has been transformed. A wine cellar has been installed in the chimney and the living room equipped with sound equipment and a projector. When that is being used, the ceiling lamp is raised out of the way with a winch. The emphasis of the interior decoration is on natural materials – old boards, metal and linen.
