House in Jūrmala's historic district, was chosen by a family from Moscow as a home for 3 generations: the grandparents, parents, and 3 adult children. Built on a steep, wooded hillside, the house will provide each generation with its own floor: the foundation level for the grandparents, the attic for the grandchildren, and the main floor for the parents. The common living space on the main floor is supplemented by a kitchen with glass walls and an entrance hall that burrows into the hillside. An intricately configured spiral staircase suspended from a tower structure joins the 3 levels.
