Reconstruction

Renovation of 19th century staircase in Old Riga Renovation of a 4-storey wooden staircase built in 1866 located in Old Riga,Grēcinieku Street 26.Before the renovation, the staircase was in a degraded,pre-emergency condition, with communication pipes running through the space. The project includes the renovation of load-bearing wooden walls, stair, and skylight reconstruction.A new elevator was built in the central staircase opening. As there are large vaulted cellars under the space, the construction of the elevator is supported by steel beams and columns. The central idea of the project is to shed light on the hidden interior values of Old Riga.
