Salt house
The Salt house is located on the sea shore of the historical Pāvilosta where all the streets cross at perpendicular grid. Town has a temperate climate and strong wind, so the building was constructed with thick lime-plastered blocks with no additional insulation. The cross-section of the house was inspired by traditional fishermen's houses, an interior opening to it’s full height and width. Within, open and closed spaces overlap, providing a semi-transparent space of both openness and intimacy.
