The construction works of the memorial stone plate (monument) in memory of repressed people from Ilukste county
The author of the idea is Stefan Razna, the chairman of Ilūkste County Council, who was planning to set up a monument as the memory for the people who were deported from the district of Ilūkste. A memorial site was selected near the hospital building, placing it at the building's facade compositionally. Sculptor Ivo Folkmanis created monumental composition using modern materials - pigmented concrete walls, corten metal and granite plates with text.
