Valmiera's former boiler house, built in the 1970s and located in the centre of Valmiera, was transformed into temporary premises for the Valmiera Drama Theatre. The decision to move was taken on October 1st, and the first performance in the new premises took place on December 21st. Within two months, a project was drawn up and the reconstruction was carried out, creating a theatre hall and ancillary spaces, while preserving the industrial character of the building. Adaptation of industrial heritage to a cultural building as an architectural process.
