Plavnieki community centre

Soviet architects and urban planners developed Plavnieki residential area as a single organism that would include all necessary functions for a quality life. After the collapse of the Soviet Union many plans stalled and were left unfinished. Plavnieki is one of the most populated neighbourhoods with 50,000 inhabitants. At the same time, it does not have any social centres for cultural, sporting or educational activities. The project proposes to complete previously planned social projects that were never finished.
